John Milton Crawford
John Milton Crawford was born
in Montgomery Co., Kentucky in 1808. Not much is known about Milton
as a boy, but when he was old enough to work, the "furnaces" of the northern
Kentucky and Southern Ohio helped feed his family. The family is in so
many censuses, one can tell that they migrated from Greenup Co, KY back
to Scioto Co., OH. Even Milton's son, Macdonald found work in Missouri
at the furnaces in St. James, MO.
