James Harvey Crawford

James Harvey Crawford was born in West Nottingham, Chester Co., Pennsylvania on October 13, 1752. This area lies in a part of the country called the "wedge." The "Wedge" includes parts of New Jersey, Delaware and Pennsylvania. See the wedge MAP for further understanding of this area.
James Harvey Crawford died in February, 1847 at the ripe old age of 95 years old and buried near Olive Hill in Carter Co., KY. He served in the Revolutionary War for the state of Kentucky.  Much of my knowledge of James Harvey is thanks to several of my  cousins  who are also researching the Crawford's in PA and KY. A key bit of information was given to me by one of them, from the KY Biographies. This explained about James Harvey being a schoolmaster and marrying his second wife Jane Llewellyn Magruder.   Kentucky Bios Link
